Located near South Kensington station, in the Old Brompton Road, with Christies the art auctioneers and Waterstone's bookshop opposite, our piano showroom is at the cultural centre of this pleasant shopping street, that bisects the area's gracious residential squares. We are an independent family concern; our belief is that music matters, and our satisfaction comes from satisfied customers.
We have new uprights made by Kawai, Broadwood, Woodchester and Reidsohn, and recently-made used pianos by Yamaha, Kemble, Knight and a wide variety of others. Our reconditioned traditional-style uprights are normally high-quality English and German makes and are housed in larger cases, which often gives them a superior tone. They incorporate a range of woods and finishes unavailable today, sometimes with beautiful marquetry or mother-of-pearl inlay, and carving.
The two floors of our showroom allow us to exhibit a fine selection of grand pianos. We always have superb reconditioned Steinways, Bechsteins and Blüthners in stock, and a selection of other makes. If your space is limited we have charming baby grands, in all sizes from 4ft 3in (130cm) from front to back.
The restoration of pianos is a complex art. Our workshop is staffed by a master technician and a master French polisher, who both have a lifetime's experience and skill. This gives us great confidence in our pianos, and enables us to give long guarantees.
If you are not sure how your children will respond to their first piano lessons, our rental-with-option-to-buy scheme lets you find out, and see how the instrument fits into your home, without risk. All our pianos can be hired, as well as bought. If you feel that you have insufficient space, you may be pleased to hear that six-octave pianos are available which are 45"-48" (115-122cm), and small seven-octave ones from 51" (130cm). All the works of Beethoven can be played on a six-octave piano.
Although nothing quite compares to the real thing, we also have good quality electric pianos available for hire and purchase, for those who require greater flexiblity with volume, portability and instument sounds.  We also have a line in electro-acoustic pianos for those who do not wish to sacrifice the feel and sound of a real piano, whilst also being able to save the neighbours' ears late at night, and a Disklavier piano, which can act as a very faithful recorder of your own playing, or as a phantom pianist to accompany your soirees.

Our opening hours are 10am to 6pm, Monday to Saturday, excluding public holidays. We can stay open later, on request.

The shop will be closed between Saturday August 23rd and Monday August 25th.
